Dormus sconce — Studio Luddite

Studio Luddite does this thing where the form feels ancient and futuristic at once. The Dormus holds a glass shade inside a brass shell — the negative space between the two is where all the magic happens. It throws the most beautiful shadows. The Dormus plays with a single amorphous form in two orientations; its brass exterior holds an inner glass shade of the same shape but inverted, creating a compelling demonstration of negative space between the two components.
